My nick : Horizon

It happened once upon the time when I was 18. I remember it was after SPM. We organised a trip to Langkawi. For those who were there, I’m sure all of you still remember the joy we had there. Island hopping was one of the exciting and interesting activities I had back there (coz that was my 1st time on a speed boat; unfortunately, I grew tired of it now).

While I was on the boat, I had a good view of the ‘Horizon’. A straight line, it is, dividing the sky and the ocean. It’s far yet it’s always visible. And though it’s visible, it’s unreachable. It used to be a mystery to our ancestors: where does it lead to? what lies beyond it? is Earth a flat platform and we’ll drop into space if we go beyond the horizon? And ‘Horizon’ is also the place where the rainbow ends, where the pot of golds is said to lie, where the Sun wakes up from in the dawn and where it lies down at dusk.

At this moment, ‘Horizon’ is just a line that artists paint on their drawings. It has lost its fantasies…
